Which is better….

Lupus or Rheumatoid Arthritis?  Hmmm, tough call.

I don’t know which it is yet but just got a call from my Doctor’s office that they feel it is definitely one of those as opposed to all the other autoimmune/connective tissue disorders out there.

They had repeated the ANA test and my titer levels doubled to 1:1280 but now they are diffuse and speckled.  Yeah I feel that way too – diffuse and speckled!

Not surprisingly the lab forgot to run my Sed rate test so I will go back in to the lab for yet another stick and get that test done.  I see Jen, my wonderful Nurse Practioner, on the 30th and I want her to have all the labs she ordered in her possesion when I see her, let’s hope the lab can prevail!

The Rheumatoid Factor test came back elevated but that doesn’t necessarily mean Rheumatoid Arthritis, you can have an elevated RF test and then have Lupus.

So basically I don’t know much but I do know that I am tired, very tired, achy in my joints and a bit swollen in my feet at times.  I took a nap for the first time in I don’t know how long yesterday after mowing the lawn!

Everyday is a new day and I shall try to greet each one with a smile and a thankful heart, I have a family that loves me and like the rest of the curveballs I have been thrown, I shall overcome this one too!

I’m off to get a little hair do fixer-upper treatment and then off to the Nursery to buy some colorful plants to cheer myself up!
